I am amazed to see the move of God through so many compassionate people. We are celebrating the amount of relief funds received for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Pastor Amos Eugene of the First Haitian Baptist Church and President of the Haitian Baptist Mission spent the weekend with us here in Detroit. He preached at El Bethel, Third New Hope and St. John the Great. Pastor Eugene's messages were pointed and powerful. He challenged us with the story of the Good Samaritan and the parable of the Sheep and Goats. The words of Jesus came alive to us in a brand new way.
Thanks to so many people sacrificing for the cause we were able to contribute more than $30,000.00 to the Haiti Relief effort. The Churches of Kingdom Building Pastors and People International came together to make an impact upon the needs of those suffering, without homes, without medical care and without the basic needs of life. I'm grateful to the pastors and congregations who responded with such compassion. It is because somebody understands that prayer must be accompanied by action that so much tangible love is being poured out.
Thanks also to the Council of Baptist Pastors of Detroit and Vicinity, local businesses, and caring individuals who made contributions through the First Haitian Baptist Church. The relief effort will continue, and we are reaching out to those who are blessed of God with resources to help. The images we see on television cannot possibly tell the entire story. This tragedy will have lasting effect upon hundreds of thousands of people for years to come.
Pastor Amos Eugene and his team will carry food and medical supplies into Haiti within days. We will also have full accounting of the funds used for the cause. It is a blessing to have long time friends and partners in ministry during such difficult times. Maybe God brought us together for such a time as this. Soon several KBPPI Pastors will be traveling to Haiti with Pastor Eugene. We will keep you informed of every activity in this regard. Meanwhile, continue to be prayerful in seeking God's directions on helping and serving the people of Haiti.
Blessings, Pastor Branch

Pastor...the efforts of everyone to respond to the call to support the people of Haiti is awesome! I know that more work is yet to be done and God will require us to respond again and again with His love and compassion. Our prayers are with Pastor Eugene for his strength and courage. I was especially challenged by Pastor Eugene's message on the Good Samaritan. Not only did the message confirm that God will not leave us without Hope but it also challenged us to know that no one is excused for staying on the sidelines and just watching. We must embrace the assignment to do all we can to make a difference in the world. May we all become that unexpected blessing and hope in someone else's life. Bless you Pastor again for leading and walking with us on the path of sacrifice and compassion.
Pastor Branch, we along with KBPPI stand with you in all support of the people of Haiti. The leadership you and Pastor Glass is giving is one of love and compassion. Thus, our prayers are with the people of Haiti and Pastor Eugene as he goes to Haiti to help the people. We were encourage by Pastor Eugene's message to continue to be sheeps and Good Samaritans.
Moreover, we are excited to be involved in this ministry of help for such a time as this. Know the eye as not seen what the Lord is about to do. After all is said and done the Lord will get the glory. What shall we render to the Lord? To help the least of thee !
Pastor Branch,
It was the Peace Baptist Family's privileged to be able to help our brothers and sisters in Haiti. We know that in ratio to the enormous need there, what we did is little, but we also know that the words of the song are true “Little becomes much when we place it in the Master’s hands”. We were further blessed to work with Pleasant Grove Baptist and Christian Faith Ministries (Garden City) to send additional resources to the Caring and Sharing Mission in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Both these missions have provided us with an opportunity to get supplies directly to God’s people in Haiti. This is of importance to us for they are our siblings in the Lord and I Timothy 5:8 teaches we need to be sure that we make special provision for our family. Again, we were glad to help and stand ready to offer continued support.

In the mist of a recession, In the mist of all the hate in the world. People come together to give in a way like they've never given before. God is amazing!
God is awesome even in the mist of tragedy. Praise God for strong relationships!
