This is the time of year when we are reminded of God's love in unmistakable ways. The greening of the grass, the budding of trees and the blooming of flowers bespeak God's awesome presence and the dynamic power of transformation. What the landscape transform into rich and vibrant colors as the wonder of Spring unfolds. The refreshing rains will prepare the soil for new life and possibilities. What a wonder!
Just as God brings such transformation to the natural landscape God brings change and transformation into our lives. Is it Springtime for you? Are you experiencing God in a new and exciting way? Are you seeing the wonders of God at work in your life? This is the season for the budding of vision and insight. I am convinced that God wants us to open our hearts, again, in a whole new way to receive from God like never before. This is your season!
Take on something new. Believe God for a stronger and richer relationship of faith and power. Expect that miracle and know that God has already heard and answered your prayer. What is required for us to make a difference is a new outlook and a fresh attitude of spirit. We have to break up the tough soil of frustrations over the past to allow the new buds of hope to flourish. There are things that we must rid ourselves of in order to accept springtime and all that comes with it.
Join me and the numbers of others that are determined to welcome Spring--in season and in spirit. God has something new and exciting for each of us. It is our responsibility to open our hearts to receive the things of God and to do so in the warm spirit of gratitude. Wow! 'm already thankful for what God is doing. So, every time I see a tree budding, a flower blooming, or the grass becoming greener, I will celebrate the power of God to do the same thing in my life and yours. Be wonderfully blessed this season. As the weather gets warmer, a lot more people are coming out, and things get a little wilder in the city! I watch people as they walk, interact, drive, and just go about their busy lives. I also see how the spring can bring out the worst in people, and I'm reminded that I have something deep inside of me that needs to spring forth to let others know that Jesus is alive, that He loves every one of us, and that He wants to have a relationship with us. God has been impressing upon me that it is time to really be a witness for Him. As warmer weather comes, I'm reminded even more that we as Christians really need to be about our Father's business and share the love of Christ with a dying world.
This is an awsome time of year. I have truely learned how to appreciate nature and how to see God at work in all of the things that you named, the grass, the trees, the flowers, & the refreshing rain.
I am experiencing some wonder things in my life. God is taking me to another level in Him. I am excited, I am reenergized, and I am ready to do whatever it is that God has for me to do.
The Financial Summit was another step in the right direction on our road to transformation. I have two accountability partners. Now that we have a financial plan, we are going to put some things in action and support each other. Pastor, your sermons on Sunday gave us some reinforcement. Now we know that we are "People of Power," and we have the authority to overcome any financial struggles. We have to stop "Gazing at an Empty Sky" and start doing the things that God has empowered us to do.
I am gratful to God for entrusting me with what is His, my family, Church family and my resources.
Let's Celebrate!
Pastor as usual you nailed it. the spring represents freshness and a chance to change and grow and blossom with a can do spirit, God is looking for his people to come out and shine and do some great things, and be all that he has gifted us to be. yes I can do it.yes I can doit. thank you pastor.
God loves us so much that He gave us "Spring." I looked up the word spring in the dictionary and it said, "the first and freshest or most vigorous stage of anything, especially of life." This reminds me of what God wants from us. He wants us to wake up with our minds on Him, "first". He wants us to give to Him from our "first" fruit. God wants us to be fresh and invigorated in our service to Him and his people.
God loved us "first" and spring is a wonderful time for transformation, so the least we can do during this season is give back to God what He has so generously given us. Let's give our love, time, gifts, and resources to God's Kingdom, first.
Life is good and to be celebrated. Let's make the best of it!
What a wonderful analogy! Being a gardener, the wonder of nature is always inspiring to me. I am also applying those same wonders to myself. God is birthing something new inside of me! My goals this year is to make my life count! I am seeking ways to use those gifts in tangible and heartfelt areas to impact not just my life, but also someone elses, too. Thank you for the encouragement and confirmation! Bless you, Pastor.
I resently had a new opportunity presented to me. I have been praying about it and waiting to hear from God. I weighed the pros & cons and I was leaning toward accepting the position until Tuesday evening. God revealed to me that I will have other job opportunities and that I could always work another day here and another day there, but He has so much more for me than just work. Exodus 33:14, "The Lord replied, 'My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." I'm tired of running around chasing the American Dream. Pastor, I am believing God for a stronger and richer relationship of faith and power. I will expect my miracle and know that God has already heard and answered my prayer. If I do take on another position, it will be for the Kingdom of God, not for another dollar.
Read this again for the first time! "It's Spring!"
